Ich bin Tull Fan seit (ungef\u00e4hr) 1972, als mein Bruder bei SWF3 (nicht SWR3!) &#171;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9jNLYCudQW4&amp;list=OLAK5uy_kk5Y4OYWFNpEAo-Ib4SSy4qDyFj_Oj4oA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thick as a Brick<\/a><\/strong>&#187; vom Radio auf Kassette mitgeschnitten hatte: ich hab die Kassette konfisziert! Und es ist immer noch &#171;einfach nur geile Musik&#187;. Zuletzt mit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2qwfQ4syy3Q&amp;list=PL67cMGyeB5sFA59R3HapXJ_BgAiWZuGLd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R\u00f6kfl\u00f6te<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">25.1.2026 &#8211; <strong>Es ist wieder mal eine Erg\u00e4nzung f\u00e4llig&#8230;<\/strong><br>Selbst mir &#8211; als eingefleischtem Tull-Fan &#8211; kommen immer wieder mal neue Einblicke. Hier am Beispiel des Albums &#171;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=loYi7gRrN0Y&amp;list=PLcWeXWZaxWmNqTdrWoZrZchmiBvBRyLJ4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Minstrel in the Gallery<\/a>&#171;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#171;Minstrel In The Gallery is as much a masterpiece album as Aqualung, Thick As A Brick, Songs From The Wood, Heavy Horses. Ian Anderson has wrote so many great works, Minstrel including <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/khxEyEC1Jnc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baker St Muse<\/a> (hier in der Review von <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@NathanOnShuffle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">@Nathan on Shuffle<\/a>)&#8230; Baker St Muse definitely goes well with breakfast too. <br>Von: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@michaelbaucom4019\">@michaelbaucom4019<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#171;This album [Minstrel In The Gallery] has a special feel because it&#8217;s probably the most personal album Ian wrote for Tull. It&#8217;s all about his divorce, sometimes directly like with <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/m798LeqV3rQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">One White Duck<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Bu7--1YNcZI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Black Satin Dancer<\/a>, and sometimes it&#8217;s about the fallout from that divorce like <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nWXKoBDHhW8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Baker Street Muse<\/a>. But it&#8217;s probably the fewest layers of ironic detachment between Ian and his listener that I think I&#8217;ve ever heard. It&#8217;s interesting to see him allow himself to be a little vulnerable. One white duck is my favorite example. It&#8217;s one thing to look back in sorrow at a failed marriage in your music, it&#8217;s another to admit that the entire failure was your own fault in that music. That song succeeds in making you far more sympathetic to his ex-wife than to him.
